Space #8 2024
SPACE MAGAZINE IS BACK! Featuring six stunning collections by some of their favourite photographers.
"It all began in Amsterdam, not long ago. We got chatting with 1 Granary’s Olya Kuryshchuk about the state of the fashion industry and how tough it is for indie designers. Many are struggling; some have gone bankrupt—not because they can’t cut it or aren’t talented enough, but because of external factors. They’ve suffered blow after blow, from supply chain upheavals to a messed-up wholesale system. We went back to Copenhagen feeling depressed.
However, within a day of that conversation, including a good chat with casting director Emma Matell, we got into action, and a plan was hatched to publish a tribute to indie labels. We reached out to photographer friends—new and old—and the shoots started. One month later, Space 08 just returned from print, featuring Ester Manas, Paolina Russo, Johanna Parv, Soulland, Sunflower, and Yolanda Zobel."
